Each year, Filitalia International celebrates the Heroes Award in conjunction with La Festa della Repubblica, the national holiday of Italy honoring the birth of the Italian Republic on June 2.

This special annual event recognizes remarkable individuals who have made significant contributions to Italian heritage, community service, and public life both in the United States and around the world.

Held on the first Sunday in June at the M. Fabrizio & P. Nestico Center for Language & Culture in Philadelphia, home to the History of Italian Immigration Museum, the Heroes Award ceremony features a celebratory program with guest speakers, buffet dining, and community festivities.

All proceeds benefit Filitalia International’s cultural initiatives, including the museum, scholarship, language, and humanitarian programs.

Heroes Award

The Heroes Award honors everyday leaders: individuals who embody the spirit of service, dedication to Italian culture, and positive impact on their communities.

By aligning this celebration with Festa della Repubblica, Filitalia International reinforces its mission to preserve Italian traditions and strengthen cultural pride across generations.
